If you would like to order a 2D gel correlation analysis feel free to
provide us with the following information. Remember that the gel
correlation analysis only works when there are sufficient gels
present (E.g: >60).
Do the gels have calibration spots near the area of
interest -or- what kind of calibration information is available ?
How many gel images do you have ?
How many external parameters does each gel have ? This could
be for instance age, temperature, differentiation stage and so on.
Basically any parameter to which you want to correlate. Each gel must
have such a number.
How many gel-sets do you have ? Because gels can be created by
different people it is sometimes useful to correlate against different
collections of gels. Each collection of gels is a gel-set.
What is the image size of the gels ?
Do you think we need to align the gels ourselves ?
Do you have gain information from the camera ?
Which hardware did you use to acquire the gel-images ?
Do you know how long each gel has been ran ?
Do you want web-access to all the data you provide ? If you
want a website that gives a comprehensive overview of the different
correlation maps, should it be publicly be available or not ?
Do you want 3D volumetric maps of each of the correlation maps ?
If you want, you can also provide us with some information regarding the
biology and in what kind of project the gels are generated. This is
however not necessary to perform the analysis.
